CONCEPT

:: Concept

So you’ve had this brilliant idea which you’ve gone over and over in your head until it aches. But will it work and what’s it going to cost? Rather than plunging headlong into the more costly stages of getting detailed plans drawn up, why not get your idea road tested by our team of architectural designers here in London?

paln

:: Plan

To take your idea to the critical planning phase, we develop more detailed design concepts and scale plans, together with full design and build budget estimates. Our team of in-house experts in our offices in London are able to provide clients with an accurate 3D ‘walk through’ of their new home to help them make those last-minute, but crucial, design decisions.

buil

:: Build

Once a project has the go ahead of planners and clients we will provide detailed technical plans which meet all legal obligations and allow for accurate construction costs to be submitted. We will obtain fixed prices from selected contractors and organise contracts on behalf of clients.

Expanding family home in Surrey

Through years of wear and tear, this property was tired and needed reviving. The owners took this opportunity to transform it into a light and spacious home, with a complete reorganisation of spaces and a state-of-the-art contemporary extension.

The style of the new garden extension provides a slick and precise metal panelled finish that enhances the architecture of the house. Large sliding aluminium-framed glazing allows the internal spaces to be opened to the garden, bringing with it the feeling of space and light.

New build family home in St. John’s Wood

A-derelict-eyesore-transformed

Our clients needed a multi-use house where they could conduct business, entertain guests and still relax at the end of the day. We designed a red brick facade and detailing, contrasted with bold, white conservation French doors and sash windows. This perfectly emulates the classic aesthetic of the area, overlooking an expansive front porch and driveway with its striking purple plum trees.

Behind this traditional exterior is an open, contemporary space that can easily transform to suit work or play. Pocket doors can transform the ground floor from an expansive, seamless entertainment space complete with piano and bar into segmented, intimate meeting rooms or studies.

Record-breaking renovation

Our clients wanted to transform a derelict Victorian terraced house into a cool urban pad. The goal was to redevelop the house and greatly enhance its value for sale. Above all else the property needed an immediate ‘wow’ factor to attract potential buyers.

We worked closely with local Estate Agents throughout the process to ensure that our designs would achieve a significant uplift on the value of the property. Shortly after completion, the house was sold at sealed bids for 25 per cent above the asking price, setting a new street record.

Cramped 1930s home transformed into modern living space

Our clients had recently returned from living in Singapore and wanted to re-create a sense of the open plan living they had enjoyed abroad within their 1930s style semi-detached house. The current house had a traditional small room layout with a cramped kitchen, isolated dining room and conservatory overlooking the street.

We removed most of the ground floor walls supporting them with hidden steel beams. We also designed a full-width glass extension with sliding glass doors to create the desired ‘inside outside’ feeling. The family was delighted with the expansive feeling of openness and space we created.

A derelict eyesore transformed into a showcase for the finest interior design

This run-down mews house with an ugly 1970s refurbishment sat awkwardly at the end of an otherwise very attractive Victorian mews featuring a listed arch at the entrance. Our clients wanted this new space to be a pristine, almost gallery-like showcase of unique interior design.

The unusual shape of the site meant that no two floors or rooms had the same shape. Each required a new approach and bespoke materials to squeeze the most out of the space, becoming multiple mini-projects within the larger project. For example, we separated the kitchen and living portions of the open plan space with sliding Crittal doors that wouldn’t obstruct the view or the light but would prevent unwanted smells filling the entire house.

Modern face-lift for Victorian building

As both a Building of Townscape Merit and a home within a Conservation Area, we were strictly forbidden from altering the front of the house, so all our work was focused on demolishing the existing, outdated conservatory-style extension for a larger, flat-roofed replacement.

By the time we had finished, despite looking identical from the street, the house was completely transformed on the inside into an exciting contemporary home bursting with colour. The most dramatic change is the new open plan living and kitchen space provided by the new extension, which enjoys floor-to-ceiling views of the garden through acid-etched Crittal doors, underfloor heating beneath new oak parquet floors, a bespoke Plain English kitchen and sun day-round through three roof lights.
