JOHN DYER GRIMES, FOUNDER.

John Dyer Grimes is one of the South East’s leading
residential architects. His career spans more than 20
years, from working with some of London’s best known
architect studios to setting up his own practice Studio MG
Architects in 1996. In 2006, his wife Jemima joined the
company to spearhead a now burgeoning interior design
division, and the company was re-launched as Dyer Grimes
Architects.

John is passionate about design, but believes that beautiful
buildings can only truly be merited if they articulate the
aspirations of the people who live in them.

Vice Chair of RIBA London region for six years to 2006,
John continues to promote his vision through a series of
lecturing posts at Manchester and Oxford Universities.

JEMIMA DYER GRIMES, CO FOUNDER.

Jemima Dyer Grimes has a long and varied design pedigree.
Following a fashion degree from Central St Martin’s in
London and subsequent MA in Creative Trend Prediction,
she established her own successful fashion accessory
company JS Carrier, working with the likes of Alexander
McQueen and Clements Ribieiro.

As the demand among clients for a comprehensive design
service grew, Jemima joined her husband John in 2006 to
head up the Interior Design team at Dyer Grimes Architects.

Jemima’s work reflects an extraordinary eye for beautiful
and innovative interiors as well as an ability to translate
individual tastes into stunning designs.

HARRISON GROOT, CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Harrison joined DGA in 2022. With over 14 years’
professional experience he has worked across a diverse
range of sectors on projects of differing scales in
the UK and overseas, as a member of design teams at
Gensler, Squire & Partners, Stiff & Trevillion, Oliver
Morgan Architects and BLDA. He brings a wealth
of knowledge and experience in super-prime residential
projects, leading teams and managing projects between
£1-25M construction value in London and the
surrounding home counties.

He possesses that ‘can do’ attitude and is recognised
for his calming and facilitating presence on projects
and his positive approach to problem solving in ‘getting
the job done’.

His motivations and passions in Architecture are for
intricately detailed and refined spaces, appropriate to
place, time and culture. He has a crafted approach to
design and this continuous engagement with craft is
something he aspires for as a practicing Architect.

Outside of Architecture you can find Harrison at
Goodwood Motor Circuit, on the golf course or
hiking somewhere in the wildernesses of the Americas.
