New Commission: Renovating a Mid-Century Time Capsule in Carlyle Square
Carlyle Square, just off the King’s Road, is one of the most beautiful garden squares in Chelsea, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to extend and restore one of the grand Georgian houses that surround it.
There is plenty of potential to make this five bedroom semi-bedroom house as desirable as its location by bringing the interior – which is far from contemporary tastes, as you can see from the photo below – into the 21st century.
The house hadn’t changed hands for more than 50 years, and it shows. Walking through the house feels like stepping back in time, but with over 330 sqm to work with, it’s easy to let your imagination run wild with possibilities for renovation.
Of course, we will be preserving the essential Georgian details that give this house its character and contrasting them with a clean, contemporary interior design that highlights, rather than detracts, from its period qualities.
We look forward to sharing more details with you as the project progresses. In the mean time, click here to explore our completed period homes.
