Planning Permission to Extend Roof of Kingston Home
Dyer Grimes Architecture are delighted to announce that we have received planning permission in Kingston to rebuild the roof of a large, detached house bordering the Coombe Golf Course.
Our client approached us to increase the value of their Kingston home through obtaining planning permission for an additional 1,000 sqft.
With banks and lenders becoming stricter than ever with their lending criteria, obtaining planning permission can be a simple way to improve your standing, as long as you work with an architect with a high planning success rate.
The plans are for a new, mansard-style roof with its 63 degree pitch and six dormer windows allows for significantly more space within, which will house two additional bedrooms, each with an en-suite, totalling to 1000 sqft of floor space.
By using a traditional roof style and period-appropriate materials, the new roof will match the existing structure and its surroundings just as well – if not better – than the previous low gable roof, which made it a pleasing proposition for Kingston’s planning department.
