Philip Jones-Lloyd has worked as a director at DGA for over a decade, formally joining the practice in 2016 after many years as a trusted consultant. Throughout his time with DGA, Philip has been exclusively focused on high-end private residential architecture and has successfully delivered more than 30 projects, many of them complex, heritage-led schemes.

As Head of DGA’s Country Houses division, Philip brings extensive experience in the design and delivery of refined rural residences. He has a deep affinity for the English countryside, its architecture, culture, and traditions, which strongly informs his design approach and sensitivity to context. His expertise spans project strategy, architectural design, technical compliance, and contract administration, enabling him to lead projects seamlessly from concept through to completion.

Philip is a natural leader and an accomplished people-person, adept at coordinating the many disciplines and stakeholders involved in complex building projects. His extensive on-site experience and practical problem-solving skills enable him to guide major projects to successful outcomes with clarity and assurance.

Outside of work, Philip lives with his family and two energetic dogs in a Listed cottage set within the beautiful landscape of the South Downs National Park, an environment that perfectly reflects his affinity for historic architecture and rural life.
