Commission for 10,000 sqft Neo-Georgian Mansion Overlooking Wimbledon Park

Wednesday, March 11, 2020

DGA have been commissioned to design a new 10,000 sqft neo-Georgian mansion in Wimbledon.

The house will be clad in Portland stone – a reference to the adjoining war monument – wish a traditional Welsh slate roof befitting its period inspirations.

From its prime location at the entrance to Wimbledon Village, the site enjoys stunning views over the park and lake. The new house will sit in a classically designed formal garden.

By demolishing the existing house, we are able to incorporate a large basement with a pool and garden terraces beneath the main house. Sliding glass walls make the most of the garden views and allow sunlight to stream into rear rooms.

Our brief includes an attached six car garage with glazed walls, allowing our client to appreciate their classic car collection from the garden.

The 3D designs you see above allow our clients to get a 360 view of their vision and the entire process can be performed remotely – ideal for keeping your dreams alive during these challenging times.
