Twickenham Riverside ex-pub to become new art gallery

Our latest project is a proposal to convert a unique family home in Twickenham into a mixed use space that incorporates both an art gallery on the street facing side and a home at the rear, with additional accommodation for an artist in residence.

The rich character of the building and its prominent corner setting makes it the ideal candidate for a gallery. Built in the early 1800s, the house was originally a pub and is now a Building of Townscape Merit in the Twickenham Riverside Conservation Area.

These protections mean that any alterations to the exterior of the house will have to be approached very delicately, with a focus on preserving the character and heritage of the building.

Thanks to our wealth of experience in restoring protected buildings – including another Building of Townscape Merit in Twickenham – we are confident that in the near future you will be able to visit a fantastic new gallery just a short walk from the Thames.
